Motivation of the founders

From the industry for the industry

Hoteliers have so far often to struggle with the use of hotel management systems.  Just to name a few reasons: complicated software, long term and costly trainings, very expensive and difficult updates. These days are now over. The new web-based hotel management system ibelsa.rooms has the potential to revolutionize the market. Many creative people are involved in the development and they all know the hotel and IT business. Patrick Schulte and Philip Berchtold the founders of ibelsa talking about their motives.

Motivation of the founders

What was your motivation to develop a new hotel management system?
Philip Berchtold: I am from a family of hoteliers and have several years experience in international hotel management. Because of my background I know how difficult the search for the right hotel software for small and medium-sized hotels is. Existing systems are often quite expensive, complicated to use and require lots of trainings and maintenance. That was enough motivation for me to develop a new hotel management and contribute with my hotel know-how.
Patrick Schulte: When I traveled through southern Germany some time ago I asked for a room in a small hotel. They opened there large black reservation. As an IT expert I thought very charming, but probably it was this experience that gave me the motivation to develop an own hotel software that makes life and work a lot easier at the hotel. We have achieved this with ibelsa.rooms.
